Welcome to earth. Well, not any earth you know, but one that will be. Or has been, or maybe never was. This is a dark place, with magic and science, vampires and humans and everything between trying to find some balance and survive. Haunted cities cover the land, bastions of old science and untameable magics only entered by the foolish and the brave. Jealous geers guard technology in old enclaves and mages build homes in ruined towers as creatures borne of science and magics stalk the land. This is a world where magic and science have fought. A world that many have died to preserve, even now, and most of the survivors aren’t sure why they did or what the imagined they were saving.
In all the dreams, in all the terrors, no one ever said what would happen to those who survived the end of the world. Maybe they believed we’d all die. We don’t know: the cities are dead and broken monuments to powers beyond our ken, filled with the science and magic that make them living tombs. It is left to us to rebuild civilisation, if we can - and if we dare.
